Col. Theodore Gatchel, USMC (ret), and Naval War College Prof. Emeritus, presents “Language, Culture, and Tradition: Understanding 20th-Century Vietnam,” Sunday, March 24, 2 PM.
The talk gives historical context for the 2013 Reading Across RI book, The Beauty of Humanity Movement.
Col. Gatchel served 2 combat tours in Vietnam and 30 years in the U.S. Marines. He writes a monthly column for the Providence Journal and has published extensively on military and naval topics.
