It's 2013 and being an interracial couple being shunted off to a backroom table next to the kitchen door when there are open tables in the front room is blatantly hostile and racist. A Mother's Day brunch was ruined by boorish treatment by a restaurant that had been recommended to us. We will never return and will make sure that all our friends, co-workers and acquaintances know how we shabbily we were treated.
