The Providence Singers will perform Haydn’s grand and triumphant oratorio, The Creation. The concert will feature renowned guest soloists and musicians from the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra.
The Creation is a masterwork of wit, humor, great elegance with texts derived from the book of Genesis and John Milton’s Paradise Lost. It begins with a remarkable “representation of chaos” and proceeds to depict the six days of creation and the joyful union of Adam and Eve in a new and perfect world.
