In these bar-counter or dinner table meetings of animals, humans, and critters queerly in between, a sense of pathos mingles with humour. Enjoy these parables for how we, as she writes, "take ourselves too seriously, and equally--not seriously enough," over cheese and crackers at the opening reception.
