Gilbert & Sullivan's 'Patience' tells a satirical, complicated love story. A group of maidens are lovesick for an aesthetic poet named Bunthorne, but Bunthorne only has eyes for the simple milkmaid Patience. Patience, in turn, is romantically interested in Grosvenor, a poet who is too perfect to be in love. Meanwhile, the former beaus of the lovesick maidens try their best to win them back. Instead, the maidens fall in love with Grosvenor, leading Bunthorne to take drastic action against him...
