This $34-million addition to Rhode Island School of Design's art museum opened Sept. 27 to mixed reviews, its glass-and-brick facade a sharp contrast to the traditional lines of its historic South Main Street neighbors. Designed by award-winning Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, the center adds 43,000 square feet of gallery and classroom space.
